The mind can have profound effects on the body and becoming aware of this is the first step in up leveling any game. Self-awareness leads to better visualization of where we want to take our game and can lead to us finding success off the field also. When the mind is open to how the body feels in the physical and emotional space, we are able to develop strategies around the progress we are making, or not making, and adjust our training accordingly.

The alignment and the relationship between each aspect of the body and the mind can mean the difference between experiencing optimal performance or just playing the game. Envisioning each course or court, how it feels when we ground the feet into the grass, clay or hardtop. Seeing the flag or the net and the ball going where you want it to go before the initial strike, finding the ultimate placement of the ball for the next move. Using the breath to calm each muscle into prime position for mobility and stability.
